ABOUT OUR BRANCH : This branch concentrates on Electronic and electronic measurement techniques, processing information and utilizing them for process control and data transmission. The course equips the students to man industrial instrumentation systems, process control. It also trains to design modern instrumentation systems, Instrumentation engineers are in good demand in areas of Oil and natural gas industry , Chemical Industry, Process Industries, Refineries etc. The degree course offered at the B.Tech level concentrates on Electrical networks, Analogue and Digital Electronics, Micro Processor and Controllers , Linear integrated circuits, Transducers and process instrumentation, industrial electronics, Telemetry, Bio-Medical Instrumentation, Computer organization and programming etc.During the course the students are given hands on experience on instrumentation systems and they do an independent project, mostly in industries The Department has full fledged laboratories that meet all the academic requirements specified by AICTE and the University Of Calicut.
